Stallions

We are mainly using stallions from other breeders to have diversified bloodlines and find the most perfect match with each mare.

In 2023, a bay silver (EE Aa ZZ) colt, Alto, has joined our pregnant mares herd to become a breeding stallion. However, he will not be the unique used stallion to breed our mares, as we have had the great opportunity to acquire frozen semen of the brilliant stallion, For a Few Dollars More. Moreover, our mares will still visit outside stallions to hopefully produce fillies who will stay at Silver Oak Farm to become broodmares.

Each mariage are carefully analyzed, with stallion owner, to produce balanced and harmonious foals with strong bones and good gait while keeping inbreeding as low as possible, for the sake of the breed. We are not focused to "only black silver foals" as we plan to breed roan, dun and champagne in the future!
